Seen 2.5 year olds and older deer get into it and got to video a couple last year fighting.

I saw that for the first time last year, and it happened twice. Plus it was the same deer both times. Made me wonder if they had a personal history.
I had 2 bucks that I believe to be 3.5 chase a doe through back in muzzleloader season. They ended up getting in a fight about 40 yards from me. It genuinely felt like they wanted to kill each other. Such an amazing sight!

I think spikes breed too. There's not always an older bigger buck.
As many broken off spikes & forks as I see, I knew it had to be happening but never actually saw it in action. Good catch!

I had a spike and a 4 pt fight in front of me a couple of years ago for over 15 minutes and covered over 100 yards of field, really going at it. By the time they finished both were bloody, especially the head of the spike was mostly red.
Sumbody is gonna lose an eye.
