But I'm thrilled! Killed this 3 1/2 year-old buck this morning. haven't scored him yet, but expect he will be just shy of 100 gross:

Thanks. Killed him at zero dark thirty. Just after making the shot, I checked my watch. Two minutes inside legal shooting time! I really didn't even know which buck I was shooting (of the photo-inventoried bucks--usually I know exactly which buck I'm shooting before I pull the trigger). In the low light, I just knew he had enough antler for me!

Congrats on your bow kill! :D

Oh by the way, a friend has a pic of an albino black panther! Want to see it?

Congrats on the buck! Being "Thrilled" is what its all about.

Congrats. Great deer!

I'm really not good at judging these by camera pictures yet. Thanks for sharing before and after pictures.

In your second pictures (the black/white one), I can tell he isn't a 2.5 or anything...... but looking only at the antlers I immediately thought "nope... 1 more year". His right side (left if you're looking at the picture) is deceiving in that picture.

Then I saw the picture after you killed him. Looks great! No way I would have passed on him.

I had pictures of the one I killed this weekend and at first wasn't sure if he was a shooter. After the kill, I was surprised how much bigger he seemed in person.

I know everybody asks you a lot on this site - but in all seriousness - thank you for all that you share. I know you can't give away all the secrets of the trade, but you certainly help some of us to not feel quite so dumb.

Congrats Bryan! DNB! So what did he score? I'm guessing about 100 give or take myself.

Haven't put a tape to him yet, but I'm guessing what you did, somewhere in the 95-100 range. If he had had more typical beam mass for a 3 1/2, he would break 100.

One of my nieces killed a very classic 3 1/2 year-old 8-point for our area. Grossed 108 with 4" bases.
