Nosler E-Tip 6mm 86gr

Since they were roughly $8 a box I pitched a few hundred in my cart when I made an order from SPS. I would like to load them for deer but if nothing else I can make plinking loads for kids. Has anyone on here shot these? How far did you seat them off the lands for them to be accurate? What kind of load did you use? Since there is no actual load data for them I was planning on loading them low and working up till I get pressure signs, back off of that a little and play with seating depth to see what kind of accuracy I could get. I know your supposed to leave them with at least .050 jump.

I also have a stack of the 86 grainers but have not loaded any yet.

I will post up when I load a few and get to the range.

What I do know is the 90-grain loads won't work in my Rem 700. I did some 90 grain Accubonds and the results were so bad I thought my scope was loose.

Did you notice how faint the band was? Don't know what pressure relief that is going to offer. I would go light and be careful.

I've got soem test loads loaded up to try in my daughters American. I love the 140 grain E-tips in my 7mm-08.

I've shot several. Caught several in a sandbox. I'm thinking I had to seat them .050 or more off the lands. Took awhile to get them to shoot decent. They are far from the best shooting bullets I have. I have yet to use them on an animal

cant speak for that bullet

but the 140 and 150 are awesome on game probably killed 7-9 with a 140 at 3000 fps and 6 or 7 150 at 2960 fps

i ignore the .050 rule seat .010 off and get good accuracy
