1:10 a.m. Dark as the inside of a housecat. My bedmate starts whining and wakes me up. I cannot figure out what she is whining about.
Finally I look out the bedroom window and by the light of a street light, I see three huge does and one samller, feeding less than 10-feet from my bedroom window. They are browsing on the shrubs planted around the house I watched for a few minutes, then, drifted back off to sleep.
My bedmate has never been able to figure out why deer won't run and play with her.
