There's been a lot of crap going on this year. Sportsmanship, courtesy and respect for fellow hunters seems to be at an all time low. Not sure what it is. Maybe so many young guys didn't have a father figure around--that's all I can think of causing it.

I've seen it first hand. All for an instagram picture. Success is relative, and we live in a world of extremely high expectations for those who don't have experience. Jealousy is at an all time high.

The page I follow in Facebook is about as drama filled as I've ever seen a page. If it's even half as disrespectful as that page is. It's almost unimaginable from a deer and turkey guy. Can't imagine a duck is worth it.

Having hunted for approximately 50 years now I've obviously seen a lot of changes in waterfowl hunting. It's just not the same as it was, "back in the day." My biggest observation in change is that years ago, everyone knew each other for the most part and all got along well. Now it's more of a competition and a pile picture.
I hunted Dover a lot back in the 80's and early 90's and killed a lot of ducks and geese. Drew a top pick last year, went two times, and said I wouldn't be back except to get our blind out. Public hunting, at least at that place has turned to c***.

It's like that in all the WMA's I have hunted many years i could use to tell you who was in each blind and even down to there trucks. But over the years I bet I may know couple of blinds now it's all about how many.

haha Yeah back in the good ole days blinds would get burned by individuals with good fathers...........

Our blind on Gooch was messed up by blind hoppers this season
Ours at Old Hickory was trashed on numerous occasions, brush broken down, and things stolen. We also encountered a lot of hoppers that seemed to not have any clue how the blinds work on WMAs. Had one argue with us that they could be in our blind because TWRA built it and it was first come, first serve. Another told us they'd been "hopping the blinds near the area manager's office" until they were told they couldn't (they're all Tier 2 blinds).

Had this same thing happen in the Tier 2 blind we drew in McMillen Bottoms for the early season draw. Said he called the TWRA and told him all the blinds on OH are 1st come/1st serve. The sign posted on the door to the blind says otherwise. Guess he couldn't read.

I'm wondering if this was the same group of people.

Yees yees broke the door and painted stuff on the walls of our's (misshapen male genitalia) with a rattle can we left in there for touch up.

We sheeted everything with barn tin and what exposed wood there was was either treated or painted heavy with oil-based paint.
