Please! Just scroll down and post your thoughts/opinions in one of the other 50 rage threads.

Let's talk strategy or something that will actually be useful in the deer woods.

I

actually I would like to see if we as a group will make a pledge to not talk about performance of ANY broadhead and focus on tactics/methods that will make each of us better bowhunters

Yes exactly!! Technically there is a forum on this site to talk about gear. Might not be a bad idea to move some of the broadhead/bow discussions overthere....Just a thought.

It's real simple good arrow placement = good broadhead perfomance regardless of manufacturer or design.

You got the wrong idea. We don't want to hear it anymore because it's already been said 50 times.

Yeah Bob u are right I've said it a few of those times myself.

What's really going with this is guys who like different products for whatever reason, some because they have had success with them, some because their favoite "outdoor personality" endorses them and some because they are " field advisors" or " prostaffers" for these companies and they are using this forum to promote their brand and take jabs at each other, because they think we should all use what they use.

Who on this site is a field advisor , and for what broadhead company ? If you are implying that anyone is promoting a broadhead , please be specific .
I shoot what works for me and what I have confidence in .
If half the guys on this forum would promote the sport of bowhunting instead of what they shoot , this forum would be allot better .
It's turning into another archery talk , fanboy forum . And one more thing , if I have a bad experience with a product , I feel it's my decision to convey that information and give an honest assessment of a product , and I would hope others would do the same .

All I'm saying is it shouldn't be taken so personal if somebody likes a different brand than you or I.

If someone asks a question about experiences with a product, be it broadhead or boots, then they must want an answer.

I say keep the threads coming.

If you don't want to read it, then don't.

If it's general gear like boots or underwear, then the Gear forum is a good place. If it's archery specific, like broadheads, I have no problem seeing it on this forum.

Well placed broadhead of any kind will do the job.It doesn't have to be a rage to bring them down, they are the hot item thats being pushed right now.Not downing the product.

Ain't it funny what ever the big video boys shot it's the best, even though they killed those same big bucks with the old recurves, the old whitetail hunters, and other older bows.

You practice like you should the deer will go down, just cause you shot the all mighty Matthews, doesn't mean that your are going to shoot lasers like the movie preditor!

Practice with what you can afford, put it were it needs to be, and don't worry about what some other peckerwood shoots!

By the way I'm a MUZZY MAN myself! :D

I hunt with Rage and killed my first bow deer with a Rage 2 blade, but I'm tired of the Rage threads. There on the shelf, everyone knows about them, so if you kill a deer with a Rage, simply post the pic of your deer and move on. Let's get back to the basics. Let's talk about form, release, equipment, etc. Every forum regarding bow whether it is Archery Talk or TN Deer is eat up with Rage threads. I hunt with Rage but I'm tired of every other post regarding Rage. Yes, I am guilty myself, but I'm over it as of today. Just bought a new muzzleloader and have moved on from the Rage. Let's talk about bow hunting, not Rage broadheads.

My problem is much like what Radar'd post says. I would rather see people posting about bowhunting. Not bowhunting gear. I understand if some one feels the need to ask for advice on a product, but the redundancy is killing me. It has brought the quality of the archery forum down.

bsl this thread is not a rage thread. Some took it that way, but my point is exactly what I stated above. But great effort on being a......

like i said it last forum, i love these things. but lets talk about something else. the info is here. and if anyone needs more info, just pm me.

Was just joking with you.you need to relax if that made you mad.Good grief.

No no I'm good. I don't get to worked up over this forum.

Rage vs. Slick Tricks. Bud Light vs. Miller Light. Coke vs. Pepsi. Big time brand loyalty based on....what? The deer died fast or the deer died slow? I hit the deer or I didn't hit the deer? It's fun to read, especially when it heats up a little, but at the heart of matter it's just a marketing dream come true. Consumer loves or hates a product enough to fight over it. I wouldn't miss a one of the Rage posts, though. Like somebody else said, if I get tired of reading them I'll stop opening them up.

Aw man. I put those rage broad heads on my Christmas wish list! There great. I haven't ever used any better a broad head!

The best broadhead period!! Oh ! OK!! No more posts about the best broadhead on the market that makes it look like you threw an axe threw a deer!!

Why not just promote the sport of bowhunting and not equipment sponsors ? ;)

I do. But awesome tools to do the job should always be discussed! Always good to talk tractors!
