Only big game we saw was a big horn sheep.but we had a great time and learned a lot.
Learned that if your wife is addicted to taking pics don't take her in cabelas,3hrs latter think she took pics of every mount in there.
Learned that once you sleep in a hammock you can't go back to the ground(the tipi and stove were great got down in the teens and we stayed warm,and I get cold easy.
The tipi and stove are for sale,sleep in one night and stove burned in twice.
Learned that you need a bad 4x4 to get down the roads or be prepared to hike 6miles to were you were planning on hiking in from

The amount of pressure is like the non quota eagle creek hunts they use to have in oct back in the 90s
Fixing to head back will post pics when we get back
 
Looking forward to pics.

I know the feeling of traveling long distances to come home empty handed. Multiple trips to UT for mule deer.
 
I tried to pm you last night about the tipi and stove also...you're over the limit on your pm's there turk :) If Poser passes on it, keep me in mind please. I'm interested in it, I've heard nothing but good things about all of Seekoutside stuff.

Great pictures!

Too bad there was an ATV trail on that top... looks to be phenominal elk habitat. Was there a ton of feeding sign from earlier in the season?

How crowded was that top?

My supposition is that the elk were probably still using that top, but only at night, and were in the dark timber by the time the sun came up.

Looks like a fun time, however! Just wish my wife would do that with me!

The tipi and stove were great,it was tring to sleep on those pads that were the problem.
The stove keep it warm I was in shorts and I get cold easy probably had to add wood every hour,but I was up anyway
Bunch of elk sign,a ton of pressure except in the canyons but they were pretty much cliffs,tried hunting them from the bottom one day hiked 3miles in and still couldn't have shot one due to no way to get to it
We both had a blast and she was trooper she hung right in there
Then I suprised her with a trip to deadwood on the way home
