The last 2 weeks in south Montgomery County has been excellent.

That area was always loaded with deer when my mom and stepdad lived there, but it's been years since I have been over there. They were in Cunningham for several years and then moved into town in Clarksville.

Its been feast or famine for me; I've had sits where I was covered up in em, and sits where I didn't see a deer and started to question if I knew what I was doing. A lot of it has been the odd weather in my opinion. But theyre there. You have to continue to put in your time. Also, you might want to re-analyze your approach. Are you playing the wind right. Are you being extra careful the last couple hundred yards on your walk in. Are your boot bottoms clean. I give mine a mud bath every time out. Good luck

Where are you hunting? I went to do some maintenance before gun and seen a few, one good buck. Seeing a decent number of does on the side of the road too, which means they are getting pushed hard now.

Go to the new construction subdivisions. They are everywhere.

Out off 233 and Lyle wood road area they are still hard on acorns in the draws but are coming to plots just before dusk

My wife drove to Illinois last night. She called and said the hunters need to be out here by the interstate, there are plenty of deer all over the place.
