I actually still have NM regs from 2009. In 2009, the tags were over the counter and a nonresident tag was $360. I think in 2010, the went to a drawing. I guess whatever reason they had to do that , did not pan out. I would love to do that hunt but from what I understand, its a very hard hunt.

I have a buddy who is a trapper in NM, they have yet to get kill a sheep. He said one day they are on the public land and next day they are gone and you will not see them the rest of the year. Tough hunt for a out of state hunter for that reason I guess.
