what are good ones and how hard are they to put on a glock 23 plus what is the going price for them thanks in advance....

Some of the more popular are Trijicon, Meprolight, and Ameriglo.

They aren't hard to install on a Glock, but you may want to use a sight pusher to do it right. You don't want to go banging hard on a tritium sight with a punch & hammer.

I would recommend purchasing the tool and sights from Glockmeister. You get a pretty good quality tool and you get the sights at a discount if you buy them with the tool.

If you only have one Glock and never plan on doing them again, it might be better to just take it to a gunsmith. Not sure it'd be worth spending the money on the tool.

Edited to add: I have no affiliation with Glockmeister. I was only recommending them because you can get the tool and sights as a package. If you're only buying the sights, check out other sites like MidwayUSA, CheaperThanDirt, etc.

i like novak and they are really good quality and like Nyper said if you dont plan on making this a regular thing, changing sites, then get it gunsmithed. less chance of screwing up a great gun.

ive only used meprolight so i can't really compare but they seem nice.

Its not hard to do the install yourself. It's fairly idiot proof.
The tool comes highly recommended but it can be done easily without it. I have free access to a sight pusher during regular business hours but have only been patient enough to use it once.

Don't go overboard hammering here, it really doesn't take much force.

Sandwich upper between blocks in vise.
Use another block held firmly against factory sight and TAP block with hammer to drive out the factory sight.
Put a little red loctite in groove.
Slide new sight in as far as possible by hand.
Hold block against new sight and TAP block with hammer to slide new sight in place.
I use calipers to measure and get sight perfectly centered.
From my experience the only bonus of the tool is it makes fine adjustments easier centering the new sight.

I have tried them all. My favorite nite site for any pistol is the TFO's. Tritium fiber optic. Glows bright day or night.
They are about $100 +/-
Unless you plan to change a lot of Glock sites the tool is not really worth it. Most gun stores that sell Glocks will swap them for $5-$10. Where I buy my TFO's they swap the sites for free.
