My ? - Is zeiss conquest scopes worth roughly $300 more than nikon prostaff. I guess what I'm asking is are they that much better. I just bought a Browning micro A-bolt 7mm-08. I have a new prostaff 3-9x40 sitting in the safe. But would like a little better scope on this rifle. Just wondering if they are worth the difference in price. Thanks for any info............

I love my ziess...
worth the money in my book. At first i hated to come off that type of money. But after getting one. Im gonna put one on my son gun along with others i have.

What power range are you wanting? I have an A-bolt Micro in 308. It's topped off with Talley Lightweights and a 2.8-8x32. It's a perfect fit for the Micro IMO. I bought this one at www.cameralandny.com . Call and ask for Doug. He will take good care of you. This particular scope retails for $529. I bought it as a display demo for $329. Absolutely nothing wrong with the scope. He sells out all the time, but if you order it, he will give you the sale price and ship it to you when he gets a new shipment in. I think this particular model is on sale for $349. That's a steal.

the zeiss is worth the extra money, just hunt with it once or twice in low light conditions and you will see for yourself

I just bought a 4.5-14x44 Zeiss Conquest this year and am happy to report I'm well pleased with it. It's optics are better than my Nikon Monarch and Leupold VXIII. I found it on sale and got it for the same price as the others and couldn't be happier.

If it were me though and I already had the Nikon Pro-Staff that's what I'd put on a child's gun until he's old enough to appreciate the extra expense optics. He'll probably not know the difference between the two unless you make a big deal of it.
