Anyone know anything about these scopes? 4-16x44 targetmaster specifically. Seems to go anywhere from $200-$300. I'm very weary of cheap scopes. Is this a $300 scope or a hunk of trash?

If you don't like that, you can still do a ton better in the $200-$300 range. Nikko-Stirling are generally on the lower end of quality.

Problem is im looking at a rifle with this thing attached, owner not willing to separate. Trying to place a value on it.

That's tough because the owner probably values it more than it's worth. If you try to sell it, I doubt you would get $100 for it. Is it coming on a Howa rifle? They had some package rifles with Nikko Sterling Targetmasters on them?

No not a Howa.... dang tough decision. If dude would knock $100 off and keep the scope I'd be all over it. I just don't know what I'd do with the dern scope
