Me and the wife packed a change of clothes and left Rogersville around 11 Sunday morning. The first stop was the Smokey Mountain H.D. shop in Pigeon Forge. Then on to Townsend via Wears Valley. There we hit the Foothills Parkway to the entrance of US 129 "The Dragon". After The Dragon we hit NC Hwy 28 around by Fontana Village into Robbinsville NC. Stopped in Robbinsville for some supper and then on to the Cherohala Skyway. We were able to dodge and wait out the rains until we got on top of the sky way and we had to break out the rainsuits. Then about 15 minutes later we had to shed them because the sun was back out. After the skyway we rode on thru Telico Plains to Sweetwater and got room for the night. Monday morning we went back and hit hwy 411 back to Maryville for stop at Smokey Mountain HD main headquarters where I made the mistake of test riding a 2010 Ultra Classic Limited. Now my bike is for sale (see classifieds). From there to Knoxville on hwy 129 onto Interstate 40 and back to the house. All together a little over 400 miles in 2 days.
