They really arent different.Awesome deer! It's funny how properties are so different.
Universally, does are going to get the best habitat.... and fight for it... period. Now that 'best habitat' can be just a half acre food plot and the surrounding 100y off the plot to rear a fawn... or can be a 10ac plot with 5 does and their fawns squabbling until the fawns get old enough for the doe family groups to bunch back up.
If you are only seeing does on the core of your property... thats just fine... because the bucks will be there in the rut.
If you want a ton of bucks on your place now, you need to kill half your doe population this year, and you will have the bucks next year... but they will leave before the rut (and return after the rut).
Since I dont live in TN and dont get to hunt every day of season, I focus on keeping does and cover for November rut to pull bucks, and the best food sources in the area for all deer late December (especially bucks).
So far this season, I have only seen 3 mature bucks... one of which is prob only 90 inches....
But I have also seen 2 deer over 150in on surrounding properties from the road... and I know they will be on me by November
