for hunting around here I can not imagine a scope that would work any better,,with the 100 NBT clocking almost 3400 fps you can zero at 285 yards and the bullet will never be over 3 inches high,,then you would just need to shoot it on paper to find out what range the two dots would be zeroed at,,I would guess somewhere around 375 for the first and 475 for the 2nd and the top of the bottom post about 550,,but thats just a guess could be off 50 yards or more,,a man would just have to shoot it enough to find out,,what I like about the straight 6x is that after you get used to it,it is a lot like shooting a bow instinctively ,,and since you cant change the power the dots will remain a constant zero range,,and then there is the 4 1/2 inch eye relief,,

Looks like a good scope. Can't go wrong with gold rings. It is light as well, which is a plus. Will it fit in low rings?

I picked one up off of 24hr to put on a rifle. They come up for sale pretty regular there. I think I paid $300 for mine and that was with the Alumina caps.

I like that scope, but I would put an elevation M1 before the dot.

I have had / still have 5-6 of the B&C reticle. The M1 trumps the dots and holdover stadia-

Range, dial, and be DEAD on.

For the money, the 3.5x10x40 CDS can't be beat. Tracks as well as my Mk4 and was $400 vs $800-
