i have a 250 dollar coupon coming from reming ton so i am gonna add another 700 to the collection.

any reccomendations on what to go with my 308 and 223???

Would say a .300 win mag, but the magnums seem to have been shunned lately. I guess ammo prices have pushed people back to the classics...30-06, 270, and 308. I would probably go with an R25, but that doesn't fill your model 700 empty spot.

I'd go with a 7mm STW... personally, I've been looking for a used one at the right price for a couple of years. They aren't easy to find.

THEY HAVE A DEAL ON THEIR 17HMR'S. IT'S A RECALL. YOU CAN GET IT RECHAMBERED TO 22 MAG OR GET A 250 COUPON/VOUCHER. I BOUGHT ONE FROM A GUY KNOWING ABOUT THE RECALL. PULLED THE SCOPE AND SOLD THE 1100 ROUNDS OF AMMO HE GAVE ME FOR IT AND SENT RIFLE BACK FOR 250. I THINK I DID REALLY WELL ON THE DEAL

Try Gunbroker for a Remington 5R. If your looking to buy used try Snipershide. I see good used ones on there from time to time for a good deal.

Lots of things wrong with that gun...
Engraved reciever- hate it
Detachable mag- junk and limits options for aftermarket stocks
Price- WAY too high at $1000

I suspect I'll just end up building one eventually. I'm a little gun poor at the moment wife says nothing new comes into the house unless something else gets sold.

I have a 5R milspec .300 win mag that is SUWEET! A second for me would be a Sendero II in .300 win mag.

The 5R and Sendero are both 26" barrels in .300 win mag.
