Interested in getting into traditional bow hunting and had a couple questions. Would i be best served with a recurve or long bow? What would be a good bow to start out with? Any help or other suggestions would be great.

one of the best things you can do is find someone in your area that is a trad shooter. most are willing to help a new guy out.
most new guys start out with a recurve because the grip is more like a compound and will be more comfortable. dont overbow yourself(too much poundage). 70# compound and 70# trad are two different animals.
the most major rule of thumb, HAVE FUN.
