New years trip

We take a new years bass fishing trip. My son wants to go to a lake we have never been. We have fished KY, Barkley, old hickory, Pickwick, Nickajack, Guntersville, Chickamagua, Cumberland and Dale Hollow.
Thinking about getting a place on wheeler or Wilson and maybe fish both. Any suggestions on winter bass fishing trip other places?

January and February are good fishing times on Lake Okeechobee in South Florida. Best if you hire a guide. Shinner fishing will normally get the big fish, BUT they cost X amount a dozen (last time I was there $15 a dozen) and the guide will most likely want you to have 6 or more dozen per day. Takes about 12 hard hours travel time, so you need to plan 2 days travel time. But the lake is HUGE, 30 miles by 35 miles. I normally fish out of Harney Pond area but Clewiston has motels and the great ROLIN MARTIN MARINA.
