You ought to plant a japanese persimmon tree, the fruit will get as big as a tangerine. Very large fruit and I think they drop their fruit mid to late season.

does anybody know where i can buy some persimmon trees?

thanks

These are from the Ky wildlife management site. Also check with your local Tn Ag county extension agent, in Ky they offer tree for a small price for seedlings, so maybe they do the same there.

....If you go with the Japanese, make sure the type your getting actually drops its fruit. Some are ornamental and do not drop.

Good time to be planting, I'm going to try to graft some pear trees next year to go along with my apples & persimmons
