so i low balled a guy on a kel tec pf9 and got it. took this as a great plan to get a 17 hmr; something i've been wanting. ended up trading the pf9 for new marlin 917s. wanted bull barrel but i figure this was worth the trade. i havn't got to shoot it yet but got great deal on a cheap used center point 4-18x40 scope. same scope i have on a remington 770 243 youth and it has been great. mounted the scope, bore sighted it, and did a little trigger work on the 917s tonight. hopefully i'll get some target time tomorrow after work. my cell phone camera seems to be getting bad but here it is. weather and time permiting i'll have shooting pics tomorrow. i'm excited! been a while since i got a NEW gun.

guess i'll get it off the kitchen table. wifes already givin me dirty looks. it's just been there for a 3 hours dang.

I bought a 917V about 3 years ago. I really like mine. Haven't got to shoot it as much as I would like. I bought the model the year before they came out with the adjustable trigger. I had a trigger job done on mine, and it is a tack driver now.

I've got one also,it has the wood stock,I've got a 4-12 power scope on it,they are tack drivers!!

shots were taken using the rest thing in the original post pic.
25yds shots at bottom are first ones. cranked it up and over to the bullseye.

120 yds all 4 shots i was aiming at the same spot. i'm sure it's me and not the gun, maybe i can blame it on the wind. i was stunned when 2 were in the red. the other 2 seem awful far off. for 120 yds the 2 in the red have got to be pure luck.

ended up zeroing at about 100yds this thing is alot of fun.

i'm keeping my eyes open for a good deal on one. i changed up the springs in the trigger assembly but didn't polish it up. The trigger is the only thing i really don't like about it
