hey guys ive came across a nice lk93 that has been converted to 209 ignition, anybody with experience with one like this? pros, cons? im used to a regular lk 93 so this is a little different. also i will be goin to wally world asap to get primers, bullets, powder/pellets. what do yall like? he said it shot 2 pyrodex pellets with a 250gr powerbelt well and its supposed to be on at 100yds with that setup. i believe walmart is carrying both the powerbelts and shockwaves so which is more popular and why? im not sure what primers walmart carrys but the gun is coming with 100 plastic sleeves so i just need the primers by themselves and what brand do yall prefer. lots of questions i know but im trying to figure this stuff out before tomorrow evening if possible. thanks again.

If your using the pellets, the winchester 777 209 is supposed to be cleaner, but watch out for the "crud ring" that can build up in the barrel after a few shots. This ring can be dangerous if not cleaned out properly. They have a primer on the market that is supposed to alleviate this situation, but I can't remember the brand. Great gun, you will enjoy it. Most of them shoot all bullets well, mine likes 250 shockwaves.
Before I bought my savage I ussed a Lk-93 for about 8 years. After a #11 cap wouldnt set of a Pyro pellet on an old doe I switched to the 209 conversion and 777 and the 777 primers. I loved it. Shot good with Shockwaves and Knight Redhots. Also shot Powerbelts well but I aint starting that debate.......

I just sold one this morning. I have a friend with the same gun with #11 primers. I had much better luck with the conversion kit than he did with his rifle. He had several misfires with pellets after cleaning it.
I used Remington Cleanbore primers, Jim Shockey Gold pellets (100 grains), and 295 grain powerbelts. However, the gun grouped very well at 50 yards with hornady, thompson center, and knight sabots. It also did well with Buffalo Bullet Ball-etts, which are not very reliable.
