Yea I figured you meant Kendal Briles.

Here is the list per Volquest.(The only guys that are in the know IMO)

Lindsey(Auburn OC) goes way back with JP

Enos(Bama QB coach) worked with Pruitt last year

Freddie Kitchens(Cleveland Browns current OC) goes way back with JP

Brian McClendon(GameCocks OC) JP tried to hire him as WR coach last year.

Drinkwitz(NC State OC) also a Sexton client who supposedly JP( also a Sexton client) is doing him a solid by mentioning his name in the search. Not an actual candidate.

Nothing seems that easy for UT when it comes to hiring coaches. Its a "process" and they haven't even burned a mattress yet.... :rotf:

Briles wants to bring the o-line coach with him.
So to get Briles, Pruitt would have to fire/demote his Friend and college roommate.

I'm not sure UT would come off that kind of bread to lure JC from the Dawgs. He would have to be paid since there's little job security at UT compared to GA.

You just made my point... Job security means a lot and Smart is not going anywhere. No one knows what the shelf life for CJP is? He's got a shakey past and was run off from F$U. Pick up the mic and do some research on CJP... Also had his problems at GA.... :mrgreen:

I still think Briles gets it. JP gonna have to show how serious of a HC he is. If he wants Briles and Briles wants to bring a oline coach but JP won't let his friend go even though the oline was terrible.

I thought BJ signed a bunch of Star recruits while there? Or at least that's what I read :tu:

But kidding aside. Probably right. But Mullen didn't have but one 5* recruit on the oline when he took over. Last year was our weak spot. This year was they got better as the year went on, so coaching does have a lot to do with it.
