New stand hung

I was able to hang a new stand tonight, the tree has two trunks that connect approximately 3' off of the ground....so I put the climbing sticks on the straight side....and put my climber on the slanted side.....for once I was easily able to put the hang on without fear of falling....climbed the slanted slide and pulled the hang on up, reached over and attached to tree. I am excited, because now I can put friends in the hang on, while I climb a few feet higher....taken a friend on Saturday if the weather allows. Just wish I had taken pictures.

That sounds like a good setup. Hanging lock ons does suck sometimes. Always wear a linemans belt when you're hanging off the trunk strapping on a stand.

Yea it only took hanging a lockon maybe once before I realized I was stupid not to be attached to the tree.
