Out at the plots this last weekend and got the oats and wheat in with some 15-15-15 just in time for the rains. I sure hope this combination works well.

The corn I planted on 7/21 is also looking great. However, I have some weeds in it that is pretty aggressive and widespread. Can anyone tell me what this is? Inside the pod is a thing that looks like a pea. I have a lot of this just shorter than the corn. I was hoping the corn would shade it out. Any ideas? Thanks.

Turns out they are tomatillos AKA ground cherry or husk tomatoes. And they are great for Mexican green salsa dishes!
