New Offering from Ruger

Ruger is coming out with e Gen 2 American. Looks real nice. If it is out do any of yall have it?

I personally don't like that they're all 20" barrels. I'm a fan of 24" barrels. But that's just my preference.

I usually would agree but it seems there's a current push for suppressor ready rifles. 24" barrels are nowhere near suppressor friendly

Just seen them. They look nice and have solve many of the issues I had with the original American. Going to have to get a couple when they are available.

Looks better then the piece of G one they have now (no offense to current owners).

There are not a lot of options for short barrel affordable rifles in the market so maybe this one will be an upgrade from the junk stock and sloppy bolt of the previous version

I don't care for the fluted barrel part. Just a cheap way to make it look "fancy" vs actual updates to the issues on the previous model

But for me and my age, the only new rifle I plan to buy will have a wood stock.

I like the action and barrel, but the mag release and 16 piece stock I despise. Streamline the magazine and pit a nice wood or laminated stock and I would consider it.

Grippy Splatter pattern stocks and Cerakote finishes isn't something I'd want, but its good to see Ruger coming out with new stuff.
