I put the redfield revelution on my cva optima. I am highly impressed with tje eye relief and the clarity of this scope 159.00 @ gander mtn. I was told leupold bought out the company any truth to that?

Yeah they bought them a few years ago.
 
I put a Bushnell Banner 3-9x50 on my Knight, and so did my brother. That was 12 years ago. Both scopes have worked flawlessly. The adjustments are crisp, great glass, and lots of eye relief. I looked at a Redfield the other day, the adjustments had too much play inbetween clicks, IMO. It looked to be a good scope otherwise. Im sure all the above are good scopes. It boils down to personal preference and budget.

I been looking for a scope to go on my .270 for the past two weeks and was looking at hundreds of reviews. Nikon was last on my list (according to reviews and opinions ). I walked out of Dicks with a Nikon. It was on sale and unbeatable for the price. I shot with it Fri and am very pleased. Moral of the story- go out and beat the bushes and look at them in person. I had one picked out from looking at it online, but when i saw it in person, it sucked.
