I haven't hunted with a ML till this year and ran across a steal on a Winchester Apex. Been hunting with it this year but nothing yet, could have shot a small doe 3 days in a row but I let her slide. I have never taken a deer with one but going to AEDC next weekend and I am stoked!!!!!!!! The hammer is dropping!!!!!!!!! Just had to share my enthusiasm, sorry.

Well I hope ya get one. Be careful though, this smoke pole stuff is addictive. About 20 years ago I started out just trying one... Now I can't tell you the last time I took a centerfire rifle to the woods. It gets in your blood.

I have always carried the bow during ML season mostly because I was broke and couldn't afford one when I am was a teen. I understand what your saying about the smoking pole though, I started to carry it this evening. I think about it every time I go out. I am after one I call "tall boy" and need every advantage on him. I am shooting the first deer I see on saturday though and getting her broke in.
