Welcome aboard. Pretty slow here in west Tennessee right now. We did watch a youngster(spike) try to chase does over the weekend, not time just being like a teenager. Things should start really picking up in the next week to week and a half or so.

Agree. Strong acorn year. White Oaks raining them down. I'll be out hunting starting tomorrow for really the first go at it this year. Cold front headed in ought to turn em up a little.
What I wouldn't give for that. We have no White Oak acorns at all. Just a very small number of Reds and Blacks that produced acorns that were primarily weevil infested.

My cams show some younger bucks pestering does in some food plots . I've yet to get a mature buck on camera this year.

Welcome. I have seen more activity around both of my places in Montgomery County than usual at the end of October. Scrapes showed up earlier as well.

Welcome to the site! Haven't been out hunting yet this year. But I'm off this Friday so I'll be in a stand behind my house for an early morning hunt. I've seen very few acorns on my property this year in northern Cheatham County. And my plot didn't get any rain. The neighbors hay field might be a deer magnet around rifle season
