Food Plots New Ground

A buddy of mine with a potato plow helped me prep some new ground. must have pulled out 50 stumps

I cant wait to get in a fall plot

buckwheat, winter wheat, oats, dwarf essex rape, purple top turnips, groundhog radish, and crimson clover.

wow sounds like you have a thought out plan, have you planted all this variety before? I usually plant Wheat, Oates, Kale and Mustard greens and peas...... I tried turnips last couple years my deer ate the greens off the top and the turnips sat there until I disc them in in the spring???? thought about trying Daicon (deer) Radish this year but not sure if they would do any different than the turnips?

I've used this mix for a few years now. Deer seem to like it more each year. The turkeys like the crimson clover in the spring as well

OK, so the new spot is disced up as of today. Ready to drag if flat and throw out the brassicas before Sundays potential rain. Wheat and oats in two weeks.

This new spot will allow me to rotate a two acre Whitetial Institute Clover plot that is at the end of its life and integrated with Bermuda grass.
