New Experance

In a ground blind at a game plot yester afternoon resting up after chasing turkeys that morning. At about 3:00 heard a noisy to my right had a big gobbler charging by with a scrawny coyote on its tail and I mean close. The bird took to the air and the coyote went into the woods in a different direction. I think the dog realized I was there and left in a hurry. Wished I could have gotten the coyote. Tried to call him back with some squeaks but it didn't work.

coyotes have adapted and learned to effectively hunt and kill turkeys. They are scary efficient predators. That bird was lucky he didn't have a more experienced yotie on his rear. But trust me, the yoties learn more from their failed attempts than their successful ones. He'll get several in his lifetime.

Wish you could have got the yote. I think they are starting to affect our deer and turkey numbers big time.
