Very happy so far with the durana cloverI planted in February. I've mowed it once and sprayed with clethodim and butyrac a couple weeks ago. The area in this pic is about 1/6 of the total I planted. Going to put out about 2 acres of it in the fall.

It hasn't started to bloom yet, so I don't know how many bees we will have. A friend of mine has some hives, and he said he could put out a couple of them on my place early next spring. That should also help with pollinating my apple trees.

The width of the roadbed varies from about 12 feet to over 20 feet. I expect that the wider areas will probably get more sun and be more productive.

I think it will be a great bowhunting area. I have some stands sitting back in the woods about 15 yd with shooting lanes cut into the widest parts of the roadbed. I can get to the stands without going through the bedding areas. There is about a 5 acre area that was clearcut a few years ago that begins less than 100 yd from the stands.
