Looking at getting into crossbow hunting.I think I am going for a Excalibur axiom smf and use Excalibur boltcutter broadheads,your opinions please.

The Excalibur Axiom is a good bow and right now they can be had pretty cheap because they've been discontinued in favor of the Matrix bows. Only thing wrong with it is it's a little wide in the limbs. The Boltcutters are good broadheads also. Get an extra string or two and a stringer and you're all set.

I have a Excal Matrix 355 love it, also Excalibur warrantee is on the bow not the owner.

Great xbows and broadheads. I have the micro 335, I love the simplicity of them and being able to decock them at the end of the hunt without having to shoot a dummy bolt like with other xbows.

Well I got a used Ibex crossbow instead of a new axiom guess this will work out ok .
The Ibex is a really nice bow with the thumbhole stock. It will work just fine for any deer around. In fact the Ibex and the Axiom are the same bow just a different stock and color. Get a couple extra strings and a string changer and you're all set. Good luck.
