Nice looking pistol-reminds me of the old Whitney Wolverine. Wondering about the real world price and the physical size and weight as compared to the LC9. Thanks for the info.

This one is slightly bigger than an old .380 M51, I think. I will wait on the .40 or dare we hope a .45? Needs to be more old timey, too. Smooth sides and a set of retro Remington-UMC grips would go a long way. If Freedom Group can't see fit to offer a high-gloss R51, send flatsided ones in the white to Doug Turnbull or somebody like that. A pretty gun is easier to carry/shoot.
 
Thanks. For me, "state of the art" in a deer rifle is a pre-safety 336 in .35 Rem. A scope, now, that's just too much...:D

I don't get why it has all of those funky looking slide serrations. Weird looking trigger too. That gun could be a lot better looking if it were more of a copy of the original. What is the trigger like? I'm guessing it has a grip safety from the looks of it, as does the original I believe. I like the design of the sights.
 
There's a very large market among females for pistols like these. The more they (or anyone) can get a purchase on the slide, the easier they can operate it. The trigger is a single action with internal hammer. It's quite nice. Yes, that's a grip safety you see.

The sights are unconventional but very practical - smooth on the side that needs to be smooth, and straight on the side the you would use to rack the slide if your other hand becomes unavailable.
 
Google "Remington Model 51" for the inspiration. If the R51 holds true to form, expect the 9 to kick like a .380, and the .40 to kick like a 9. The Pedersen delayed-blowback mechanism has a rep for absorbing recoil energy. People that have m51 .380s swear they shoot like .32s, and the M51 was a pocket pistol.
