Wanted to see what everyone suggest for a new pair of boots? looking to do alot of walking and check out some new hunting ground and want to get something that is comfortable and warm any suggests thanks!
I think the resole price I saw was around $75, I usually just buy a new pair every year. I wear this model because I like them being waterproof and not having shoe strings.
Rubber boots make my feet sweat because they can't breath, even with marino wool socks. I wear muck boots around the farm but can't stay in them for long. I have a pair of LaCrosse snake boots that are very comfortable. Can stay in them all day. I did just order some Danner Pronghorn GTX though....
Lowa's, hands down the best boot I have worn. I do a lot of backpacking and backcountry hunting in the Western states. My Lowa Tibet GTX hikers have been great, only thing I you need to do is purchase new insoles.
If you are still hunting in extreme cold then I would suggest a different boot, but if you want something that is waterproof, lite, durable, comfortable, excellent ankle support then get a pair of Lowa's. For the price they are great.
