Looking at buying a new 22LR, all of my current 22s are safe queens.

Looking at Bergara BMR, 10/22 carbine, and the CZ 457 Varmint.

Pro/cons of each?

I recently bought a CZ 457 Varmint. My initial feedback is it is very accurate at 50 yards with CCI SV and I look forward to shooting higher end ammo to see what it is capable of. Other pros are it has an easily adjustable trigger and has a wide forearm that rides my Caldwell Rock BR well. I am not a bench rest shooter and can only compare it to a bunch of Marlins I own but for the money it is a lot of gun.

Plinking/hunting.

I am anal on shooting, if I want to kill something at 100 yards with it I want to know it will hit it.

I like a cz rimfire, and they both shoot good. Take this for what it's worth, go pick them up, one will talk to you.
 
Well I appreciate all your responses, I went against everyone's recommendation and bought a BMR steel. My gun dealer could get me one for less than 500 bucks OTD. All the CZs were 700+, 200 bucks goes a decent ways on a good scope.

You bought a great rifle. I don't own a 457 but the cz's used to be affordable, and now they are through the roof. I wish I'd bought another 453 and a 527. Now you can't really find either for under $1000. Hind sight I guess.
 
I bought a 457 varmint for $489 and a mtr for $750 this year. Both new so they can still be found reasonable for today's prices. Both are shooters also.
