I called Dickson Sportsman and Hermitage Archery about what strings they had in stock. When I was talking to Joe at Hermitage Archery, I told him what happened. He said he would like to look at the string first before replacing it since the "poof" could be left over serving material when BPS removed it. Joe said he usually splits the string where he starts the serving. Well, I got home and immediately got out my bow. I puffed out the fiber and pulled it right out with my teeth. It slipped out nice and easy and was a gray and black fiber, the same color as the serving BPS uses. The string looks fine and I will apply some wax. My bad for my previous post, just jumped the gun or should I say cautious about my new baby!
Nice thing it doesnt need anything extreme.
