Neighbor's new clearing

Ok my neighbor just bull dozed about 2 acres of hillside woods near my hunting spot. He doesn't intend on seeding it back. Just going to let it grow up again I guess. What would be the best thing for me to throw out, that would be somewhat benificial to the deer and not require any mantenence?

Just let Nature take her course. Any natural regrowth will include some beneficial plants.
