Used Nightforce.
A really high power used NF wont make the price price range he wants. Unless I missed somewhere

I was thinking of the Benchrest model, used ones don't sale as high as the NXS models. But I see where he wants side focus though. Just put a few hundred more with it and get the NXS model. You will never be disappointed with the best.

I just got a new one for a pretty penny. The used ones I have seen are almost the same price, befor their increase. And the side focus is nice, I have it on another scope, not the NF.

on a 223 I doubt you will ever need anything but a 4.5-14 LR/T,,I have been ripping the knobs off mine for the last 6 months and have shot 700 69 gr Sierra bullets from 100-1,000 yards and I dialed in 10.75 MOA after work today and shot 5 shots at 500 yards that were in a 3.5 inch group centered dead on elevation about .75 MOA right,,I would guess I have changed distances over 100 times in those 700 rounds and the Leupold scope is still on zero at 100 yards..

the only thing I dont like is when going up to 8-900 I lose count how many turns I went and may be 15 MOA high or low unless I pay attention,,LOL

and dont be fooled ,you can see a long way with 14X

My choice would be to try to find a Leupold Mark 4, then maybe a Zeiss Conquest or Sightron SIII or an Elite 6500. But a SF in a 30 mm tube with big power will push the grand mark pretty easy.

How bout a Leupold Mark 4. 4.5-14x50 illuminated mil dot. Excellent condition in factory box. $950 delivered.

Looking for a little more power. But meat hunter you have my attention.

It is a great scope. I bought it like most things on an impulse. It is way more scope than I will likely ever use. I'm not going to list it any time soon so if you need it give me a shout.

I have been thinking about selling something for a scope to mount on the 338 Lapua,,I am gonna wait and see exactly how good it shoots first though,,all I need is enough adjustments to make a mile and be able to see a 17.6 inch target,
