Need some advice

Let's say you stumbled upon a great looking spot on public land almost a mile from the road. It's where hardwoods meet a small cattail marsh. There are muddy deer trails everywhere, lots of big tracks and a few big rubs. There are 2 trees that would safely hold a man. One is in the marsh and sticks out like a sore thumb and is impossible to hide in. The other is a gnarly oak right at the edge of the hardwoods with lots of cover behind you to break up your outline. It is a perfect spot, but it will require a lot of limb trimming to get a stand hung and a shooting lane cut.

My question is when is the best time to go in and make noise prepping the site to hunt it? Should I prep it in the afternoon and hunt it the next morning? Should I prep it in the morning and hunt it that afternoon? Should I prep it at night and hunt it in the morning? I will only have 3 days to hunt this area, so timing is key. I don't have the luxury of prepping it and waiting a week or two for things to settle down.

No possibility of hunting on the ground ? Or is it a preference to be elevated ?
The last 3 biggest bucks ranging from 132"-155" I have killed came from hunting on the ground. Dont get me wrong I enjoy being elevated but I have spots that are just not feasible to get a stand in and im not letting that stop me. I dont do it so much during archery but with a gun im full force on ground hunting.

To answer your ?, if I had to hang a stand and I knew it wasnt a bedding area id do it late evening and hunt next morning or early morning then watch the woods come alive.

This would be my suggestion as well.
