Need rabbit recipes for large family

My boys are rabbit shooters, they shot six fat Illinois farm rabbits, and after all the skinning, and parting them out, I ended up with 10.4 pounds of bunny. I need ideas, I separated backs and ribs in one big bag, legs in another. al

This recipe is pretty good also. Simmer and pull rabbit meat and substitute for the chicken this recipe calls for.

I'm a big fan of dumplings as a use for rabbit meat, but you don't need a huge amount of meat to make a large batch. 10 lbs of actual meat would probably feed 30 people in a big pot of thick dumplings (we make ours with a heavy broth).

Most home-made dumpling recipes are fine to use for rabbits, just make sure not to throw out any of the broth used when cooking the meat in the crock pot. Some recipes call for searing/browning in the skillet first. I personally think that approach is best.

Enjoy it - rabbit is a delicacy as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks so much gang, I think rabbit and dumplings for the ribs and backs, and fried with taters for the legs......our season ended on Jan 8th, so we appreciate these more and more. al
