I have a TC Omega with 3x9x40 compact Leupold scope. I decided to try the BH209 powder and the FPB 300gr using Federal 209 Shotshell primers. Everything is going well getting it dialed in and then on my 6th shot it shoots 8-10 inches low and 7 inches right. So I thought maybe I didn't get the powder measured right so i shoot again and low and right again. At this point I stop shooting because I am just wasting money.

My first thought is the scope so I took it off and reinstalled and locktited. It was to dark so I will try to shoot today or tomorrow.

If the scope is not the culprit do you guys have any ideas? Thanks.

Are you "spit" swabbing the barrel between shots? Meaning running a patch thru after each shot. There will invariably be a little build up I believe, but, I am not familiar with the results of BH209 yet, so could be a non issue. I usually clean well after 4-5 shots of Pyro, but swab between each shot. Maybe 6 shots is the limit before needing swabbed out?

Thanks for the responses. I am going shoot it in a few minutes, and see what happens. I cleaned it last night, I really wish that I had not done that because now a I have 2 variables that I have addressed that could be causing the problem. Will update.

Good to hear because I shot 15 times one afternoon using blackhorn and harvester sabots and had no issues.
