need help with MZ issue

I have a CVA optima pro. For some reason the hammer will not lock back. I started having issues last year as it would lock back some times and others it would not. However if I break open the barrel it clicks back to a locked position easy. Any suggestions?

I searched and found the same question on CVA's website. CVA instructed the person to send the gun back to them for repair. Sorry that isn't much help.
