So there is a long story, but the short version is this thing would never cycle properly and I eventually discovered that the ring on the barrel that slides over the mag tube had a crack in the solder??? Which is also of course where the gas port is. Years ago had an old man solder it shut, not really "properly" repair it and it worked great for a couple years. Then it quit cycling and the crack has reappeared. This thing only has probably 150 shells Through it so I hate to toss the barrel. You guys recommend anyone in middle tn that could... I guess... Grind the solder patch down and correctly repair the ring at the gas port? Or is it worth it? It's the cheap synthetic/parkerized version, not obsessed about the looks, just want it running again.

well with you not worried about how the shotgun will look you can take this to any good welder to tig weld this up for you
this would be a stronger fix and should last for the life of the barrel. if you where close to my shop i could take that broken pc. off clean it all up and tig weld it
back on for less then $40 . after it is tig welded the barrel and welded pc. both with discolored a little bit but this would be no big deal as the rest of the shotgun is not a nice high $ shotgun
