Need Help/Advice

I'm new to hunting and need to get some advice. My daughter shot a deer on the youth hunt this morning but it ran a goods ways off.

We were hunting on private property but it jumped the fence that is the property boundary. There is not an obvious property owner to ask permission to cross property line.

Any tips/advice?

I followed the trail for 30 minutes; roughly a a mile and half till I came up on no trespass signs. Left the trail; went to the internet and found landowner and tried to contact and left message. So far no response. Also should mention that I have heard gunfire fron that direction in the recent past. Maybe someone hunting there?

If you followed the trail 1.5, miles. Give up. The deer is not hurt badly.
