I've been searching for the front half of a Winchester Model 70 floorplate, the small arrowhead looking part with the screw hole in it. I have the original floorplate but the hinge tabs are broken off the front section.

Been looking for this part for several months now to finish up a winter project but it's proving to be impossible to find.

Here's the project, it's a 1970 Winchester Model 70 Safari in 375 H&H Mag. I dropped it in a hand carved custom stock and refinished the wood, I just need that part, any help appreciated.

Have tried to order one from Winchester? It shows a price of $10.50 in blue or $5.25 in matte on their website parts catalog.

Click on the picture of the catalog near the bottom left to open the pdf file.

Nice looking rifle. Is that a richards microfit stock? Check out www.Brownells.com. They will have your part

Thanks! I'm not sure redblood. I bought the stock off ebay but it wasn't as good as advertised, the finish was very bad and it had a lot of dents and scratches. I got a partial refund and kept the stock and refinished it. It seemed to take forever to get it right but it turned out really nice, I'm proud of it anyways. :) Here's a couple more pic's.
