Anybody hunt around there. I've hunted on the park and around it for the past few years. Just wondering if there were anyone else around that did.

Not in years but when I did some of the the biggest deer I saw in the area were off the NE corner of the place.

I have some land connecting to the park. I only hunt on the park if I want meat but don't want to shoot anything on my private land.

I've only seen one big buck on the public part and got one good trail camera picture though. The biggest one I saw was up on the North end.

I hunt there. There are no deer there so do not waste your time. If you see a sliver Silverrado with Hawkins county tags, do not hunt in that area. There are especially no deer in any area I might park my truck. I just enjoy driving for seven hours to walk around in empty woods with my rifle. :crazy:

I seent a 200" buck standing by a silver Silverado last year :whistle:

Ok, i'll stay away from that area. Been on Pecan trail mostly on the north and down off I believe it's Slaughter creek rd. on the south.

get off interstate go south turn into camground on right go down trail out the back take first trail to right think it was called oxford trail stay to the right(left fork goes to power line)road ends in small field.walk trough field turn right and cross holler.go twords interstate point comes down from ridge opposite field you parked in and ends at swamp.the interstate and swamp make a good funnel havent hunted there in years(back when had to have 4pnts on one side)but always seen deer
