Well, deer season is almost over, and I really want to get better with my weapons in the offseason. I shot a couple of friends' rifles on the range this year that had their triggers worked on to make them smoother/lighter. Man, it felt great! I'd like to do the same for my muzzleloader and 30.06.

Any advice on a trustworthy gunsmith in or anround Nashville? I want the right guy, not necessarily the cheap guy. Might as well get it done correctly the first time. Any advice on pull weight I should ask for? 2, 2 1/2, 3 pounds? I really don't know.

What brand rifle and MZ do you have? You can google trigger adjustments on each brand and usually find instructions to do it yourself. But, if you are not comfortable doing this I would suggest a gunsmith.
 
I've got a .50 cal TC Omega and and a Remington 700 30.06 that I want worked on. I absolutely do not feel comfortable doing the job. I want it done safely and right, and I have no experience with trigger work. Thanks.

I took them to Rocky at Franklin Gun Shop today. He said my triggers were at about 6 pounds, and for hunting purposes, I should go to 3 pounds. He said 2 pounds is better for target shooting, but it's too dangerous for hunting purposes. I just went with his suggestion. Thanks for the help.

By the way, that place was hoppin' today. I've never seen so many folks at a gun shop, and I even saw a few people I knew there, and I live 25 mins. away.
