Here's the 3/8 oz whirly bee I was talking about making. I was reading Westmorland book about getting in close to the bank and throwing a spinrite out in 50'/80' of water and bringing it back up the slope. I can't find spinrites anymore so maybe this will work.

You might need to trim the tail back a little more or taper it some so your blade is more free to spin. Just a thought from my first look. I have no experience with that particular lure.
