One hole 5 shot groups @ 100yds, and a little under 1 1/4" @ 200. I think the 200 results have a lot more to do with me than the rifle. I'm going to the range again tomorrow, will post up some results when I get back.

It's not to bad. Weighs just under 11 pounds complete with mag full of 75gn bullets.

My range report is kind of an embarrassment right now. I changed up my ammo from 69gn to 75gn and man can you tell a difference. I don't think the 1x8 twist likes the weight of the 75gn to much. The best group I could get @ 200yds was a little under 2". I think I am gonna have to go to the 55's and see how they do.
Surprisingly, the rifle shoots 62gn military FMJ better than the 75gn match ammo. Dunno why, but I think it's the 1x8 twist. Either way, consistently hitting Mt Dew cans at 240yds, is something to speak about.

I have got a rock river varmint with a 24in bull barrel today i shot some hornady 55gr v-max at 200yards i was getting a one inch group they are alittle high but they shoot good

Those are what I'm looking at putting through it to see how it does. Is your RRA a 1x8 or 1x12? I believe the 1x8 should be able to handle 55's pretty well.

yep. i am sure it is a great paper puncher, but i would wager when you start seriously calling eastern coyotes, you will find something shorter, lighter and faster handling with a scope that has a low end under 4x.

I was gonna give the same reply redblood. But I was afraid he might take it the wrong way. But I totally agree as I set my rra pred pursuit up with a luepold 6x18 and my r15 wears a 2x7 for just the reason you stated!!

I didn't mean to get you stirred up just that the first one I set up had an 18 power scope and I didn't think it was practical for anything but about 10% of the sets I can do in Tn . Never questioned your knowledge or experience!!

I can see an 18 fixed power scope becoming a problem. The scope on this rifle is 6x-24x. 6x is plenty low enough for good close range shots. Yeah 4x is better, but the difference between 4x and 6x is negligible.
I don't have a problem walking 150m-200m to my sets with an 11 pound rifle, and when I get to the set, the rifle sits on a bipod. So all the weight is taken out of the equation. If I'm gonna have to walk a mile to a set, then yes 11 pounds of rifle may become a problem. But that's not likely.

Well my pred pursuit and r15 come in at 9-10 lbs so not much difference I don't guess. I finally decided I could get in the woods and have more success and I really don't even feel comfortable with a scope . In the process to get my shotgun set up.

Nice gun man! Use whatever equipment works for you. Don't let folks on a forum, expert or not, sway you from what works for you. While some may have good suggestions they will never know exactly what's right for you. I'm sure you've heard this a million times. Some ppl just don't understand that we can't afford a different gun for each activity. I don't know about you but my guns wear many different hats so to speak.

Thanks yall. There is actually a little bigger dog runnin around down there that I've been after for a few weeks now. I can't seem to get him to come out in the open close enough for a shot. He must be an educated prospect. I had em' at 325yds, but was using my short barrel AR that night and didn't want to take a chance and actually educate em' myself.
He's a little bigger and a little darker, and has one heck of an intimidating howl on em'.
