I went by myself this morning, hunted four hours and all I got was cold!! I did hear one gobbling way off in the distance but couldn't seal the deal. After coming home and resting for a couple of hours I told my wife "lets go kill a Turkey" I handed her the 12 gauge and I took along my old 16 gauge as back up. We got in the blind around 3:00, I gave my best imitation of a hen turkey looking for love on my homemade turkey call, but got no response. So, we decided to just sit and watch what nature had to offer. Around 4:30 she whispered "I see two hens coming down the ridge and there's a Tom right behind them". As luck would have it they came right to us. She dropped the hammer on old Tom at 25 yards. Sorry for the sorry pic but "Tom" flopped into the creek and messed his feathers up a bit.
It was a great hunt, I always love hunting with my favorite hunting buddy.
